Consumer running a studio/video editing etc and was assigned Industrial tariff based on software based unit. The APTS inspection found the consumer running a film editing institute which bears a commercial tariff. The consumer applied for tariff change. The respondent changed the tariff from the date of connection of electric supply and a Bill issued for arrears towards the difference in Tariff rate. Dispute over the date of changeover of tariff .

APTS inspection found the CT’s provided to Meter of a Fish Processing Plant as faulty and hence the meter was recording less. A short assessment bill issued to consumer back assessing for a certain period. Consumer disputes the Bill and a Case filed at Hon High court and the court ordered to file the statutory appeal before the Electrical Inspector for decision on the true energy consumption during the meter faulty period-Both sides did not file the appeal as either side thought it as the responsibility of other side.Dispute.

The ownership of the Building and the consumer, who runs a large Multi-Business Unit and in whose name the electric connection was registered, were in the name of two different Partnership Firms. The KSEB insisted for Letter of consent from the owner and also demanded Additional Security deposit, equivalent to Cash deposit, for giving the connection.
