Consumer’s meter faulty - dispute in the accuracy of the meter after replacement – P185/2011 - M. Mohammed Basheer, Alappuzha

The faulty electric meter of the consumer was replaced. Thereafter the meter recorded high consumption which resulted an exorbitant bill. The consumer, under LT IA tariff, aggrieved by the exorbitant bill raised dispute in the accuracy of the meter.

Applications for enhancement of connected load on one connection and reduction in connected load on another connection and for a fresh electric connection were submitted by the consumer on 18/1/2010. Reliefs sought are to approve and allow enhanced/reduced load and to effect new service connection applied and pay penalty as envisaged under Standard of Performance Regulations for delay.
Industrial connection taken on M.G. Basis. The consumer discontinued before the MG period-Final dues. P/252/2011-K Kalesh, Pathanapuram.

Availed an industrial connection on MG basis, but stopped the working of the unit before the completion of Guaranteed period. Electricity arrears were not cleared. R R Action initiated against the consumer. Dispute over the calculation of final dues with out ascertaining the self remuneration status of the Line constructed as per MG Agreement.
