The complainant has approached the KSEB for shifting the 11 KV line drawn through her property without obtaining her consent. The Board prepared an estimate and demanded to remit the same. Aggrieved by the huge sum demanded and inaction of the KSEB, this dispute originated. Appeal petition is found having merits and is allowed to certain extent.

The HT industrial consumer was issued short assessment bill being the penal charges for non-segregation of power and light loads in the industry for a certain period. It is held that the extra charges shall be limited to the month of origin of the arrear bill issued by KSEB, since notice has to be served to the consumer.

The electric meter installed in the premises of the domestic consumer was found faulty and the party was issued with a back assessment for the meter faulty period. It is held that the consumer is bound to pay the charges for electricity he has consumed and ordered to reassess the back arrears for a period of one year prior to meter change based on the average 6 months consumption after replacing the faulty meter.
