Based on the complaints of the farmers, the Licensee inserted one post between the CK 25/7 and CK 25/8 posts to tighten the line and also to have sufficient clearance. The new post is in the middle of appellant’s field, which is creating obstruction for his farming activities such as moving of machinery etc. He approached the ADM and ADM ordered that the post is not creating any obstruction. So, this is not to be shifted. The appellant approached CGRF, Northern Region and CGRF (NR) order state that they agree with the order issued by the ADM, Malappuram. The appellant filed appeal petition before this Authority and it is decided to dismiss the appeal petition field by the appellant.

The bill for the month August 2020 was Rs.2,624/- and that of October 2020 was Rs.4,900/-. As the appellant was not paid the energy charges, the supply was disconnected on 20-11-2020 and dismantled on 17-11-2021. The total dues as on 17-11-2021 is Rs.10,949/- including the minimum charge and surcharge. The Licensee initiated the revenue recovery procedure. The appellant filed petition to the CGRF, Northern Region, and CGRF (NR) issued order dated 12-08-2022, stating that the appellant is liable to pay the charges billed by the Licensee. The appellant filed appeal petition before this Authority and following decision is taken: 1. The Licensee should not charge the minimum charges more than 6 months from the date of disconnection. The bill is to be revised accordingly. 2. The appellant is liable to pay the amount as per the revised bill prepared in accordance with (1) above.

The power supply to the appellant’s home was got disconnected. There was over voltage in the system. The connection resumed only on next day at 5 PM. Due to the over voltage, some of the home appliances damaged. The loss suffered is to be compensated. The appellant filed the petition to CGRF (SR) and CGRF (SR) vide order dated 29-07-2022, the claim for the compensation has been disallowed. The appellant approached this Authority by filing the appeal petition And this Authority agreed with the order of CGRF. However, Licensee has to ensure the proper quality of the power supplied to the consumers.
