The appellant Shri. P.K Gopinathan is a domestic consumer with consumer no. 1145297009161. The connection is in LT three phase under the Electrical Section Chirayinkeezhu, with connected load 7.280 KW. The connection was initially in the name of his wife Smt.Leena and then transferred to the appellant. The appellant had installed a roof top solar with capacity 10KW and connected to the Licensee’s grid on 2021. Consumer who was billed bimonthly has been changed to monthly billing as the appellant has become a prosumer. Before April 2024, the domestic consumption did not exceed the generation in the solar plant. The appellant is demanding that the payment for excess energy imported to the Grid is to be settled by the Licensee in the same way of they are collecting the energy charges from the consumer. The payment for the excess supplied is not settled in time and making the payments after the delay of many months without interest. In May 2024, the consumption was higher the production in solar plant and the Licensee has realized Rs.11056/- from him. There was banked energy around 6000 units with the Licensee for a period from 01/04/2023 to 31/03/2024, which was un paid while billing during May 2024. The appellant is requesting for the release of excess amount charged for 05/2024 as well as interest for the delayed payment for the banked energy. The appellant had filed the petition to the CGRF and CGRF issued order on 14/03/2024 stating that the petitioner is liable to remit the charges as billed by the Licensee.Aggrieved by the decision of CGRF, this appeal petition is filed to this authority. |

The appellant Shri. Vinod.S.Panicker had availed a 3 phase LT connection for his bake house o 10/09/1996 from the Licensee(KSEBL). The connected load of the connection is 20.24 KW under LT IVA tariff. APTs, Thiruvananthapuram had conducted an inspection along with the officials of the Electrical Section, Contonment on 06/07/2024. They have noticed an anomally in the metering system that one CT was out of the measuring circuit which lead to an error in the measurement. The APTs has assessed the reduction in reading with a standard, calibrated meter which was around 35.61%. Accordingly a short assessment bill was prepared for 26 months from 01/06/2022 to 06/07/2024 for Rs.2,78,044/- and send to the consumer demanding the payment.The appellant had contented this demand and filed petition to CGRF. CGRF on completing the procedural formalities have issued order on 07/03/2025. Aggrieved by the decision of CGRF, this appeal petition have been filed to this Authority. |

The appellant is the President of Lions Club, Muvattupuzha. A connection with Consumer No. 1155912012018 having availed for the Lions Club situated at Murikkallu, Muvattupuzha. The LT 3 phase connection is coming under the Electrical Section, Muvattupuzha of the Licensee. The connection was originally included in the tariff VII B General and later changed to LT VI B. During April 2024, Regional Audit Officer of the Licnesee has conducted an inspection of the premises of the Lions Club, Muvattupuzha. It was noticed that the building is a two story building having different facilities like a hall, multigym facility, meeting room, entertainment area and a small office.Around 15 split airconditioners, and other fittings like fans and lights are installed in the Club. After the inspection the tariff was changed from VI B to VI C by the Licensee. A short assessment was prepared with effect from 2012 for Rs. 1,26,161/-. The appellant filed petition to Hon’ble High Court of Kerala. The Court directed the Licensee to hear the petitioner and take a decision. Accordingly the Licensee has conducted a hearing and issued the order. Aggrieved with this order the appellant filed the petition to CGRF. CGRF issued order on 25/03/2025 on completing the procedures. This petition is filed as the appeal petition to CGRF order. |
