The AE inspected an industrial unit and found that two CT’s to the Meter are not working and he reassessed the consumer for the back period. The consumer questioned the Bill in the Hon High court and court ordered to deposit certain amount and sent it for Electrical Inspectors adjudication. The EI reduced the bill substantially and so there was excess sum with KSEB. The Hon High Court did not allow interest for the excess amount paid but directed to approach concerned Forum. The consumer wants interest from the date of payment.

The LT consumer was allowed to enjoy 116 KVA as his Contract Demand (CD) and also his connected load (C/L) under TOD meter scheme. The consumer requested to increase his C/L to 226 KVA keeping his CD as the original value itself. The feeding Transformer was rated 160 KVA and it feeds other consumers also. Hence the KSEB wanted the consumer to pay amount to increase the capacity of the T’rfr to cater 226 KVA. But the consumer disputes as he promise to keep within the CD limit.

The consumer has enhanced her load necessitating a CT operated Meter, with CT’s having the ratio of 200/5A. The respondent fixed the multiplication factor wrongly as 20 instead of 40 by omission. The APTS detected the mistake and the AE issued an arrear bill assessing for the back period which is disputed by the appellant, under Sec. 56(2) of IE Act, 2003.
